The Center is founded on extensive experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in hospital care management, quality improvement, patient safety, health systems strengthening and workforce development. Its foundation reflects a vision of bringing international healthcare standards and professional expertise closer to the community while keeping care compassionate, practical and affordable.

Afifa Munawar Baloch is a senior healthcare professional with more than 18 years of experience in the health sector, with extensive expertise in hospital care management, quality improvement, patient safety, health systems strengthening and healthcare workforce development.
She has worked for more than a decade with the World Health Organization (WHO) Pakistan, contributing to health system strengthening and initiatives related to quality of care, patient safety, hospital resilience, infection prevention and control, hospital services and health workforce development.
Her professional development includes advanced learning, fellowships and specialized courses through institutions and programmes in the United States, LUMS and other internationally recognized platforms. Her areas of professional engagement have included the application of international frameworks and standards to strengthen healthcare quality and patient safety.
Over the course of her career, she has contributed to the training and capacity development of more than 1,000 healthcare professionals and health workers across Pakistan, with training and technical support covering areas such as:
